Find an endurance athlete (runner, soccer, football, swimmer, biker, tennis, basketball, etc.). You may call your local college athletics department or use someone you know personally. Discuss how they hydrate before, during and after an event. Compare and contrast this information to the guidelines in Chapter 10. Share the recommended information with your athlete. Share your evaluation of the athlete’s hydration and your recommendations to improve, if any.
