1) DISCUSSION POST
- Watch the National Geographic Video: Maintain Your Focus and play along. Be sure to write down your results!
- In the discussion, share what you learned about your memory. Start your discussion post by sharing how you performed. Did you get most of the words right, or not? Did you notice other details, or did you miss them? What did you learn about your memory from this experience?
It’s time to practice your focus and memory! For this discussion, you are going to watch a video that has a memory and attention game. It is VERY important that you understand the instructions.
The memory game is going to test your memory of the alphabet and your attention. If you do not understand the instructions, then pause and replay the video before going on with the game. If you need to write out the alphabet and have that in front of you, then you can do that too.
2) PEER REVIEW #1 (AERIAL)
Hello everyone. This was a fun exercise. I didn’t get any words right. I was so focused on trying to decode I was replacing the letter before instead of after. Which this revealed the wrong word that made no sense. I also did not notice they revealed the answers as they showed another group of words. Ive learned to stay focus on your surroundings even when there is other information being fed to you. This was a great thinking exercise.
3) PEER REVIEW #2 (NANCY)
Hello Everyone, I really enjoyed doing this exercise. I thought it was fun and it kept me focus at the same time. I didn’t only keep my eyes in one spot i keep focus on my surrounding to see if there is anything else that was going on at the same time. I enjoy multitasking and it took me a few years to master what I do whenever I try to complete what i am doing. I love to multi task so this was a fun exercise for me to do. I got all the letters because i understand the concept in the message that it was trying to provide. Multitasking just don’t came overnight, it is a skill that you have to work at and some day master it. For most people it is a hard tasks to accomplish but i believe with good practice you can learn to multi task and get the benefits out of it.
